When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and sat down again. He asked, “Do you understand what I have just done for you? If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other’s feet. I did this as an example so that you should do as I have done for you. The Lord didn't trade His authority to be a servant, His authority was known in His service. Do we understand any better than the first disciples? If so, why does the world not know us as His disciples by our leadership through service? ©Word-Strong_2013
