So Jesus also suffered outside the city to make his people holy with his own blood. So let us go to Jesus outside the camp, holding on as he did when we are abused. Here on earth we do not have a city that lasts forever, but we are looking for the city that we will have in the future. So through Jesus let us always offer to God our sacrifice of praise, coming from lips that speak his name.
Do not forget to do good to others, and share with them, because such sacrifices please God. (Hebrews 13:12-16 NCV)
True faith changes our perspective on life. It enables us to see beyond the immediacy of our circumstances to follow Jesus, our Lord.
Personal attacks and slights don't need to be taken personally, because we follow Jesus who endured great injustice at the hands of those He loved.
Likewise, our worship needs to extend beyond our mouths and self to benefit others, just as Jesus laid down His life for us. This requires real faith—real trust—beyond theological beliefs we hold in our minds. ©Word-Strong_2015
