Lord, I look upward to you, you who live in heaven. Slaves depend on their masters, and a female servant depends on her mistress. In the same way, we depend on the Lord our God; we wait for him to show us mercy. Have mercy on us, Lord. Have mercy on us, because we have been insulted. We have suffered many insults from lazy people and much cruelty from the proud. (Psalms 123:1-4 NCV) All people get insulted and are mistreated at some point in life. But how do we handle it? Do we look to the Lord for mercy and are we merciful towards others? Or are we judgmental and pay back insults with more insults? We are to be like Jesus, showing mercy and grace rather than judgment. ©Word-Strong_2013
